ArtOberfest will be back in downtown Parkersburg on Saturday, October 16 from 6 to 10 p.m. on the 700 and 800 blocks of Market Street. Hosted by the Parkersburg Art Center and Downtown PKB, ArtOberfest is an outdoor art fair held under the red umbrellas and Edison lights on Market Street. The event is free, but donations will be accepted at the entrance.

The evening’s entertainment includes performances from The Actor’s Guild “Elf the Musical” cast, Mandy & Chad Stevens and Jesse DeBarr, Back Porch Alibi, and Levi Westfall & Hannah Miller. We will again have Chalk the Block, the most colorful part of the event. There will also be traditional arts demonstrations and art vendors, and that night the GoodSpace mural will be unveiled.

Enjoy great food from some downtown restaurants - Unity Café, The Cocktail Bar, Crystal Café, and Parkersburg Brewing Company; and from Jimmy Avocado and Philippines Best food trucks. Pick up a beverage from the Parkersburg Brewing Company’s beer garden or Wine Down on Market (a new business coming to downtown).

Precautions for the evening are being taken. Hand sanitizer and Clorox wipes will be placed at tables and there will be small tables for individualized seating. Social distancing and mask-wearing is also recommended.
