Amanda Stevens, Executive Director

Amanda began her role as Executive Director of Downtown PKB in September 2021. Before that, Amanda held two positions at Artsbridge, Inc. First as the organization’s office manager, then as the executive director for 3 years. She has been a grant reader and a panelist for the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture, and History and has been instrumental in overseeing several large scale events and art installations, including creating a partnership for Artsbridge with the Grand Central Mall and the creation of the glass mosaic mural inside the new Williamstown Elementary School. As director of Artsbridge, Stevens oversaw all programs, grant writing, and fundraising.

Prior to working at Artsbridge, Ms. Stevens worked for her family's business, DeBarr Trucking Co. in Parkersburg. Directly after obtaining a degree from WVU-Parkersburg, Amanda was a licensed real estate agent in West Virginia. She has been a singer with local bands for over 20 years at fairs and festivals and has served as music director at her church. She has been a vocal coach to numerous children and teens in the community and has participated in community theatre throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley.

Amanda Stevens resides in Parkersburg with her husband, Chad, and daughters, Kennedy and Lydia. She is excited to take on the new role as executive director of Downtown PKB and feels that the best is yet to come for Parkersburg. Contact info: amanda@downtownpkb.com

Jessica Strickler, Events and Marketing Manager

Jessica Strickler joined the Downtown PKB team as the Events and Marketing Manager in May 2019. Prior to this position, she worked for nineteen years as a marketing specialist in the marketing and public relations department for Memorial Health System. While holding that position, she was responsible for a variety of tasks including production, media buying and placement, job tracking management, maintaining vendor relationships, and signage update and maintenance. She also served on several committees and assisted with hospital-sponsored events.

Joining Downtown PKB is a change she is excited to make. After many years of working in a healthcare environment, she sees this as an opportunity to use her skillset to benefit the mission of the organization, while also learning more about the area she has lived in her whole life. This position is a chance to grow from new challenges, take a new direction in her career and meet new people.

When not at work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family. She is also a fan of a good book and loves being outdoors. Contact info: jessica@downtownpkb.com
