Angie Harkness Martin joined the Taste of Parkersburg committee in its second year and was a volunteer for the remainder of her life. She was also part of the entertainment for several years with the Smoot Theatre House Band playing keyboard bass.
 

Angie graduated from Parkersburg High School where she was the first female drum major three times in the Big Red Band. She started her career with Commercial Banking and Trust—later WesBanco Bank, worked briefly for FNB, then joined Hall Financial, which she called her dream job.
 

Volunteerism was a large part of Angie’s life, as well as helping others and always being available for her family and friends. She was a board member and served as board president for The Arc of the Mid Ohio Valley, a member of The Smoot Theatre board, and participated several years in Wood County Relay For Life, just to name a few.
 

Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life as she enjoyed watching them in all their activities, spending time together, and seeing them mature. She enjoyed playing music, traveling, motorcycle riding, good wine, and cooking classes.

To honor Angie and the time she gave to the Taste of Parkersburg there will be a wine booth dedicated to her – Angie’s Booth. She was a lover of red wine and a devoted board member who helped make the event what it is today. A portion of the sales of wine at this booth will be given to an organization close to Angie’s heart, The ARC of the Mid Ohio Valley.
