Winterfest

Join us downtown for a celebration of the season. The event is free and open to the public. Bring your little ones to participate in Winterfest fun from 4:30 to 6 p.m., which includes music, live performances, museum tours, a Christmas movie, a visit with Santa, train rides, and other kid-friendly activities. All activities this year will be held outside at Bicentennial Park.

At 6 p.m. there will be a Winterfest ceremony, followed by fireworks and a tree lighting ceremony. Finish the evening with a concert at St. Francis Xavier Church that begins at 7 p.m.

Spend the day in downtown!
Prior to Winterfest, The Historic Smoot Theatre will be hosting its Festive Family Film Series. They will be playing Disney’s Frozen starting at 11:30 a.m., followed by a princess meet & greet. To purchase a ticket, go to their website at https://www.smoottheatre.com. Then at 2 p.m. catch the Parkersburg Christmas Parade as it travels through downtown on Market Street.

Admission: $4 for adults and $2 for kids 3-12.

Open: 3 until 5 p.m.

Mid-Ohio Valley Model Railroad Club
Open: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Admission: Free
*They will be doing a drawing to win a Lionel Polar Express train.

Oil & Gas Museum
Open: Noon to 6:30 p.m.
Admission: $5 for adults, free for kids under 18 and Veterans
