Our premier fall event in downtown Parkersburg has quickly become the Downtown Throwdown BBQ & Brewfest. Our Brewfest features many of West Virginia’s craft beers. Attendees will have the option to purchase various BBQ and other food items from their choice of food vendors. Most vendors accept cash only, but there are ATM’s in the vicinity of the event. Towards the end of the evening, attendees are encourage to cast their vote for the favorite BBQ item in the ballot box at the main gate. At the end of the night, our winner will be announced and receive their award. Food vendors for the evening include: Aladdin Food Management Services, Brunello Restaurant & Bar, Convicted Pigs BBQ, Hot Dog Willys, Pappy’s Lip Smackin BBQ, Parkersburg Brewing Company, Parkersburg Country Club, Q Wagon BBQ and The Coffee Bar.

Beer distributors at the Brewfest will be Capitol, Mountain State Beer and Spriggs. They will feature many West Virginia’s craft beers as well as other craft beers. Domestic beer will also be available.

Local entertainment provided by Back Porch Alibi and JINXD. Back Porch Alibi will take the stage from 6 - 7:30 p.m., followed by JINXD from 8 - 9:45 p.m.

This event is made possible with the support of the Parkersburg Jaycees and other sponsors. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate. Childern 13 yrs. and older are the same price as adult admission price and kids 12 and under are free. Your ticket will admit you to the event, a free pilsner glass, your first drink and live entertainment. (Soft drinks and water will also be available.)

Back again by popular demand, Savor Saturday! The Savor Saturday event will complement the planned 2019 Classic Plastics Toy & Comic Expo at the Parkersburg Art Center and offer attendees, as well as the community, an opportunity to sample some of the savory favorites offered in our downtown restaurants.

For every sample purchased at participating restaurants, customers will receive one entry into the Savor Saturday contest (plus receive a bonus entry for checking in to the event on Facebook).

One lucky person will win dinner for two at a downtown restaurant of their choice and two entry tickets into the 2019 Taste of Parkersburg.
